SPRINGVILLE — Residents looking for eye care, who do not want to make the drive to the city, can stop in to Springville Eye Care, located at 25 East Main St. in Springville. The business offers comprehensive eye exams, including cataracts evaluations, glaucoma evaluations, diabetic eye exams, pre- and post-LASIK eye surgery care, contact lens fittings, and many more services for all ages.
Optometrist Dr. Shannon Rosenswie opened Springville Eye Care in 2006 and has been practicing optometry for more than 12 years. As a licensed optometrist, Rosenswie and her staff of licensed opticians can provide diagnoses and treatment of all disorders that affect the eye or vision.
Springville Eye Care can also perform eyeglass fittings in-house.
“A lot of places may just sell the glasses or just do the eye exam, but here, you can do it all in one stop,” said Rosenswie. The practice carries a wide selection of both sun and eyeglasses, including Vera Bradley, IZOD, Converse, BCBG and many other recognizable brands.
According Rosenswie, her practice’s most common patient is someone that is middle age and believes they may need reading glasses.
“The patients we see the most is folks who are in their mid-to-late 40s and just starting to realize that they may need reading glasses, finding that their arms aren’t long enough to hold a book far enough away to read it,” said Rosenswie.
For people who may be afraid of coming in to get their eyes checked, Rosenswie said she wants them to know there is nothing to fear.
“Fading eyesight is something that happens to everyone; it’s just a normal part of growing up. Once the problem is addressed your quality of life can improve greatly,” said Rosenswie.
