SPRINGVILLE — Southtowns Concrete has been providing the Western New York community with service and customer care, since 1997.
Owner Charles Urbino, who runs the Colden business, has been a part of the industry for nearly his entire life. “I’ve been involved with concrete and construction for as long as I can remember,” Urbino said.
“It’s how I was brought up, as a kid,” he added. “I really enjoy being outdoors and working on different projects, each day. I’m always on site for every job the company contracts for, because I want to stay involved.”
Southtowns Concrete offers many service options for its customers, including its award-winning stamped concrete. Their services range from all types of reconditioning to sealing stamped concrete. The employees also do chimney and fireplace construction. “We try our best to make your previous concrete look new again,” Urbino said.
“We try to recolor faded areas, to make the finished product look that much better,” the business owner added. “We specialize in providing stamped and colored concrete, as well as stone and topsoil delivery. We’re always happy to assist, on your next major concrete decision.”
Urbino travels all over Western New York to complete projects. He said that he has worked everywhere from Niagara County to Chautauqua County.

When the business first started, Urbino mainly focused on stamped concrete, but, about 10 years ago, he expanded his business to include more options, for his customers. Southtowns Concrete now does patios, walkways, foyers, kitchen floors and pools, as well.
Urbino said that he believes it is very important to be constantly improving and keeping up with the latest trends in the business.
“You always want to stay current and be able to adapt,” he said. “I try to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements, in the business. I try to attend seminars, like The World of Concrete, which is held in Las Vegas, every year. Every chance I can get to learn more about concrete and the business, I jump on it. It can only benefit my customers, in the long run.”
Urbino’s main concrete suppliers are Great Lakes Concrete of Cheektowaga and Haley Concrete of Delevan.
The business owner said that much of his schedule is taken up by preparing construction jobs and planning daily work.
Southtowns Concrete provides free estimates for its customers. The business is fully insured and licensed. “With our vast number of suppliers we will take on any size job at an honest and affordable price,” Urbino said.
“We want to help you make the right choice, with our award-winning service in stamped concrete.”
The business is located at 8258 Irish Road in Colden.
