CHAFFEE — The White Star Inn and Banquet Hall opened its doors in December at 12249 Olean Road in Chaffee.
The restaurant was previously home to the Hearth restaurant, and is now one of the area’s newest fine dining establishments.
The restaurant is under new management and has made many changes since he acquired it, according to new owner Steve Krastev.
“I’m trying to familiarize myself with the area,” Krastev said. “I want to see what the people here are looking for.”
Krastev has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant business and said he knows what it takes, to run a successful restaurant.
“I’ve been in the business since I was 23 and I’m 46 now. I own two restaurants in East Aurora and, when the opportunity came to me about this building, I was very interested. I’m very happy that I was able to be successful in purchasing this facility.”
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered at the White Star Inn, as well as a variety of nightly “all-you-can-eat” specials.

“The banquet hall is what really made me interested in the property, to begin with,” Krastev said. “I’ve always wanted to have a large-size banquet hall that I could have weddings and all kinds of specials events at.”
There is also an outdoor patio, gazebo and landscaped lawn area for when the weather warms up.
“We have a beautiful patio that will be opening soon,” Krastev noted. “It will be a nice addition to our business, once summer time comes around and people want to enjoy the outdoors.”
The White Star Inn will be hosting an Easter brunch on Easter Sunday, from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m.
