SPRINGVILLE—Springville-Griffith Institute was repetitively represented in the Business First’s 2014 All-Western New York Academic Team. Three students from S-GI were named to the team for their hard work and dedication to school work.

Caroline Francisco, Daniel Rothman and Allison Stubblebine were all named in the magazines top 100 students in WNY.

Francisco was named to the first team, Rothman the second team and Stubblebine special mention.

“This is very impressive,” Superintendent Paul Connelly said at the June 10 board of education meeting. “Congratulations to all three of these students.”[photo2]

The 100 members named to the All-WNY Academic Team represent 63 area high schools and eight schools are represented by three students. In addition to S-GI, Amherst, Canisius, City Honors, Clarence, East Aurora, Nardin and Orchard Park also boast three students.[photo3]

“These are clearly the best and brightest members of the Class of 2014,” Business First Projects Editor G. Scott Thomas said in the article. “Their report cards are virtually flawless, their test scores are astronomically high and their resumes are studded with awards and leadership positions.”

Students were nominated by their school, then chosen by a committee of editors and college admission directors. Schools were limited to four nominations each.
