East Concord resident arrested for medication theft

EAST CONCORD — A Springville resident told the Erie County Sheriff’s Department that several containers of prescription medications were stolen from her residence on Feb. 13.
According to Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard, the victim also reported that she knew the individual who had stolen the medications and gave police the name of 21-year-old Ryan Drumsta of East Concord.
While deputies were searching for Drumsta at the subject’s residence, on Feb. 14, Drumsta was seen inside a vehicle that was driven by 23-year-old Linsey Black of Springville. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and Drumsta and Black were both arrested.
Black was charged with several vehicle and traffic violations, along with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Drumsta was found to be in possession of prescription narcotic pills, which police said they believe belonged to the reporting individual.
Drumsta was arrested for burglary in the second degree, a felony; two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, misdemeanors; grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony; criminal possessions of stolen property fifth degree, a misdemeanor and two violations of the public health law.
The subject was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment. Black was taken to the ECHC and held, in lieu of $250 bail.
