Local primary election results for Erie and Cattaraugus counties

Unofficial results of local primary elections held on Sept. 9 are as follows:

For the office of Erie County Court Judge, on the Democratic ticket, Mary Giallanza Carney and Deanne Tripi defeated Paul Crapsi and Joseph Zarzembek. On the Independent ticket, Tripi and Carney also defeated Crapsi.

For Erie County Sheriff, on the Democratic ticket, Richard Dobson Sr. defeated Bert Dunn.

For Erie County Comptroller, on the Independent ticket, Stefan Mychajliw Jr. defeated Anthony D’Orazio Jr.

In Boston, on the Conservative ticket, Heidi Higgins and Jeffrey Genzel won the chance to campaign for the two seats available for the town council.

In Colden, Democratic candidates Patrick Murphy, and Ronald Fraser defeated David Arcara for the chance to run for two councilman seats on the Democratic party ticket. Also on the Democratic ticket, Paul Clarkson defeated John Peplin Jr. for the Colden Superintendent of Highways.

On the Republican ticket, in the run for Colden Town Supervisor, James Depasquale won against Annie Hoffman. In the Republican party race for Colden Town Council, with two positions available, Arcara and Jesse Hrycik defeated Stephanie Czerniak and Jennifer Okal. On the Independent Party ticket, Arcara and Ronald Fraser defeated Hyrcik.

In Collins, Norman Peters, defeated Brian Gernatt, to win the Democratic seat for Collins Town Justice. On the Republican ticket, Peters also won against Gernatt. On the Independent ticket, Gernatt won against Peters. Becky Joe Summers was uncontested for the Independent ticket for Collins Town Clerk.

In the race for Sardinia councilman, John Schiener ran an uncontested race on the Democratic ticket. For supervisor, Daniel Miller bested Beverly Gambino’s on the Democratic Party ticket. For town council, Dale Hediger and Carla Fuller defeated Cheryl Earl and Leonard Hochadel.

In Cattaraugus County, the unofficial primary election results are as follows:

For Cattaraugus County District Attorney, on the Republican ticket, Lori Rebman defeated Mark Williams.

In Yorkshire, Tammy George defeated Darwin Dominessy to win the chance to run for a seat in the town councilman race on the Democratic ticket.

While in jail.. will Michael Rojas be receiving help for his possible addiction? Both medically and psychologically. I hope so.
