SPRINGVILLE — The Springville-Griffith Institute Board of Education heard from Business Administrator Ted Welch during its Feb. 25 meeting. So far, Welch said the district is holding the line on the budget, and that he's "not too concerned" about this year's state of affairs. Next year, 2015-16, he expects to be "a really tough year" for the budget, the district and accordingly, the community.
Welch gave the first of three budget presentations at that meeting, telling the board and the assembled how the numbers look for operating and administrative costs. In total, Welch said he expects a 2.72 percent increase.
