SARDINIA — The Sardinia town board approved the roof bids submitted by engineer Mike Metzger, who will be overseeing the bidding procedures for a new roof that will be constructed, on the town’s highway department barn. The board will oversee the process, and members advised that the work should begin, as soon as possible.

Four new individuals were appointed, including new lifeguard Brittany Pleace. Three new recreation attendants were appointed: Megan Hanrahan, Sidney Danielson and Nicole Tucker. Returning lifeguards include Sarah Krolick and Jena Boza.

The board members also agreed to instate a mandatory background check policy for employees or volunteers who are supervising young people, in the town of Sardinia.
