New St. Aloysius principal Mary Beth Webster with former principal Scott Kapperman.
SPRINGVILLE—St. Aloysius Regional School has a new principal as Mary Beth Webster takes over for Scott Kapperman, who is leaving for another educational endeavor.
Webster has been with St. Aloysius for over 35 years and was a top choice to be the next principal.
“We wanted to make sure we found someone who was current with our program and it was almost unanimous,” said Regional School Board Secretary Cyndy Krolick. “She has a great rapport with parents, students and the community.”
Webster completed her undergraduate and graduate work at State University of New York College at Buffalo with a B.A. in elementary education with concentrations in science and social studies and a M.A. in education. She started off as a sixth grade teacher at Immaculate Conception School in East Aurora before coming to St. Aloysius as a reading specialist.
Because she has been with the school for so long, she already has developed a strong connection with the current students and staff and that will make the transition for everyone easier.
“Camaraderie is a big thing that I believe she will bring to the school,” said Krolick. “She has great enthusiasm, she has hit the ground running, she is great one-on-one, she is one of those people who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and she has great experience.”
