SPRINGVILLE — Emergency Medical volunteers who service Bertrand Chaffee Hospital heard from a local neurosurgeon, during their quarterly meeting at the Springville Fire Hall on Sept. 10.
Dr. Lee Guterman, partner with the Buffalo Neurosurgery Group and Medical Director of Stroke for the Catholic Health System, explained the diagnosis of stroke and the different methods of treatment to the 41 participants. Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is an affiliate of the Catholic Health System and has hosted these dinner meetings for emergency volunteers to continue an ongoing partnership between the fire companies, Rural Metro Ambulance and the hospital.
