SPRINGVILLE — One of Springville’s healthcare facilities will soon be operating under new ownership. Fiddlers Green Manor Nursing Home, located at 168 West Main St., has been purchased by JSSG Healthcare LLC.

Formerly owned by Hart Associates of Springville Inc., the nursing home was purchased in September for $545,000 by JSSG Healthcare LLC. The purchase order was amended for $430,000 on Jan. 30, by the United States Bankruptcy Court Western District of New York, following an auction and sale hearing. The nursing home filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, in 2008.

According to the New York State Department of Heath website, the 82-bed residential healthcare facility has an occupancy rate of 97.6 percent. It is also a privately-owned facility.

JSSG Healthcare LLC has connections to the area’s Absolut Care chain of nursing homes. Pending approvals, JSSG will be owned by brothers Israel Sherman and Samual Sherman, Jeffrey Goldstein and Chaim Lowenbraun.

The four men each have a 25 percent interest, with Samual Sherman’s acting as the managing member. The Shermans and Goldstein have links to more than a dozen local nursing homes.

The change in ownership requires full approval by the Public Health and Health Planning Council, within the Department of Health.
