She was born April 9, 1944 in Tampa, Fla. to Mary Junke Clark and the late Leon Clark of Springville.
She was the mother of Craig (Jane) Houck of Virginia and Natalie (William) Campbell of Michigan. Grandmother of six. Great-grandmother of two. Sister of Laurie Clark of California, Jeffrey Clark of California and the late Brenda Clark.

Lena Mae DeLand, 101, died April 6 in Absolut Care in Dunkirk.
She was born in Springville on July 30, 1911 to the late Ralph and Mary (nee Arnold) Straight.
She was a member of the First United Church of Dunkirk, where she had been a Sunday school teacher. She was involved in the United Methodist Women.
She spent time with family and friends, danced, played cards, baked and painted. She had owned DeLand Rug Cleaning, with her husband, and then worked as a ward clerk at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a 19-year past member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 294 and a member of the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Auxiliary.
She was the wife of the late Raymond DeLand; mother of the late Raymond DeLand Jr. and Meredith DeLand. Grandmother of Raymond (Cathryn) DeLand, Rick (Lynda) DeLand, Robin (Danny Claybrooke) DeLand and Renee (Robert) Scott, all of Dunkirk; Ronald (Donna) DeLand of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Moya (Jonathan) Page of Florida and the late Meredith DeLand Jr. Great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren. Great-great-grandmother of six great-great-grandchildren. Mother-in-law of Lucy (Limberg-DeLand) Buck. Sister of the late Allen Straight, Mabel Franklin, Florence Ecker and Margaret Ludemann Skinner.
A funeral was held on April 10, from the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home of Dunkirk. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dunkirk First United Methodist Church.

Steven Emory Steve Rung, 61, of Singer, La., formerly of Springville, died April 4 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, La.
He was a member of the Apostolic Church of the Remnant and served in the United States Army.
Father of David (Nancy) Hoyt of Baton Rouge, La.; Toby (Kristy) Hoyt of Crowley, La.; Kimberly (Robert) Thibodeaux of Eunice, La.; Micheal (Arthur) Hemmenway of Singer and Cathy (Charles) Moffitt of Eunice, La. Brother of Robert Rung of Springville; Laurel Sanchez of Fernpark, Fla. and Cheryl Golombek of Bemus Point, N.Y. Grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of four.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Rung and Luella (nee Schwartz) Rung and his wife of 17 years, Carolyn (nee Bihm) Rung.
A funeral service was held on April 7 from the Apostolic Church of the Remnant, located in Oretta, La. The Rev. Arthur Hemmenway officiated. Interment was in Oretta Cemetery.

Richard C. Solari Jr., 67, of East Concord, died April 8, in Buffalo General Hospital.
He was born in East Concord on Nov. 4, 1945 to the late Richard and Anna (nee Rumfola) Solari.
He did woodworking, built a hot rod car, hunted and snowmobiled. He had been employed at Kissing Bridge, the Springville Foundry, Ridge Home Building, Fox Motors of Gowanda and Erie County Parks and Highway Department.
He was the husband of Margaret (nee Nunweiler); father of Daniel (Kristi) Solari of East Concord; grandfather of Kayla Hope, Matthew, Jasmin, Erica, Kayla and Courtney; brother of Linda (Harry) Horner of East Concord and the late Charles Solari; brother-in-law of Linda (Charles) Munro of Collins Center and the late Lola Heary; uncle of Harry, Tony (Amanda) and Bobby Horner, Linda (Peter) Fisher, Charles (Rose) Solari, Jamie (Tim) Jones, Dallene (Sean) Christopher, David (Danielle) Wagner and John Heary; also survived by 15 great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great-niece.
A funeral service was held on April 12 from St. Aloysius Church in Springville. The Rev. Pascal Ipolito officiated. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Springville.
