John Allan's funeral this Saturday

John Allan

John E. Allan, of East Concord, died Oct. 30.

He was a World War II veteran, a member of American Legion Post 607, a 50-year member of the Springville and West Seneca Lions clubs, served the Boys Scouts of America for 72 years, was a past grand marshall of Garden Lodge No. 283 and a member of West Seneca Lodge 1111 of the Free and Accepted Masons.

He had served as the town of Concord supervisor and had been a town board member.

He was married for 50 years to the late Marie (nee McCreery) Allan; father of John Thomas (Connie) Allan of Springville and Mark (Denise) Allan of Connecticut; brother of Paul (Sue) Allan; grandfather of Robert Allan and the late Jason Allan; also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church, located at 474 East Main St., Springville. The Rev. Abel Roy will officiate. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Springville.
