Kenneth E. Boltz, 74, of Hebner Hill Road, Cattaraugus, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, at his home.
He was born in Lackawanna to the late Herman and Elna (nee Meisner) Boltz on Jan. 29, 1938.
He was a fisherman and hunter, spent time with his dog Bullett, had served in the U.S. Army and was a tool and dye-maker at the Ford Stamping Plant in Buffalo.
He was the husband of the late Irma “Peggy” (nee Shapley) Boltz; father of Ann Marie Boltz; brother of Donald Boltz and the late Robert Boltz; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Peter BurnPeter Burn
Peter Burn, 89, of Springville, died Sept. 22 at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1922 in Lynbrook, N.Y., the son of the late Frances and Constance Burn of England.
He was a chemical engineer graduate of Renssellaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. He was a sergeant in the United States Army in World War II in Germany and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he met his wife and worked at the Idaho National Laboratory. In 1964, he moved his family to Springville to begin a 28-year career at the West Valley Nuclear plant, where he oversaw many changes at the radioactive waste facility.
He served in the Boy Scouts, at St. Aloysius Church and school and with many other activities that his nine children were involved with, over the years. When he retired, he skied, did woodworking, traveled with his wife, was involved with a senior citizens club and spent time with his grandchildren. He also volunteered at St. Aloysius bingo and delivered Meals on Wheels.
He was the husband of Rita; father of Stephen (Betty) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Thomas (Janet) of Stony Point, N.Y., James (Patty) of Houston, Philip and John of Springville, Paul of Brooklyn, Jean (Angel) Garcia of Las Vegas, Patricia of Miami Beach, Fla. and the late Richard; grandfather of Lisa, Matthew, Ann Marie, Adam, Brittany, Leah, Elisabeth, Christopher, Allison and Andrew.
A funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burn donated his body to the University at Buffalo School of Medicine for research purposes.Robert Ellis
A memorial service for Robert Ellis, formerly of Springville, will be held on Friday, Oct. 5 at The First Presbyterian Church of Springville, at 11 a.m.
Ellis died on June 20.
Katharina OpprechtKatharina Opprecht
Katharina Opprecht (nee Stojecki), 86, of East Concord, died Sept. 7 at Hospice Buffalo in Cheektowaga.
She was born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, on Feb. 26, 1926, the daughter of the late Adam and Anna (nee Schellhaas) Stojecki.
She was a homemaker who did gardening and baking.
She was the wife of Max Opprecht; sister of the late Anna Stojecki, Elizabeth Tarpoff and Frederick Stojecki; aunt of Eva Stojecki and Heinz Kolockman of Germany; also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1:30 p.m. from the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 East Main St., Springville. The Rev. Fred Beyer will officiate.
