Alberta Kruse

Alberta Kruse (nee Folts), 88, of Manassas, Va. passed away on Aug. 16.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Ronald) Sylvester, Barbara Rackette and Jean (Neil) Bloomer. Other survivors include her grandson Christopher Rackette, her granddaughter, Laura (Patrick) Mancini and her great-grandson Nathan Mancini.

Alberta was pre-deceased by her husband, Ralph, a career Army enlisted man who retired with the rate of E-8. Many of her most cherished memories were of traveling with Ralph through post-war Asia and Europe.

She was also pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph B. and Maude M. Folts and 12 siblings. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be expressed at piercefh.com.

Donna McNulty

Donna R. McNulty (nee Young), 64, of West Valley died at her home on Aug. 14.

Donna was born in North Tonawanda, on Oct. 30, 1949 to the late Donald and Marry Elaine (nee Barry) Young.

She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, taking care of her family and making sure they stayed close-knit.

Donna had been an office clerk at Suds & Duds in Springville.

She was the wife of William M. McNulty; mother of Patrick (Tonya) McNulty of Tonawanda, Brandi (Mark) Mangano of Lawtons, Kristine Zynda of Springville; grandmother of Alicia, Kym, Tyler, Autumn, Kayla, Ryan, Talia, Nick and Katherine; great-grandmother of Aliyah; sister of Barry (Betty) Young of Tonawanda, Patti (Guy) Fire of Cape Coral, Fla. and James Young of Tonawanda; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.

Steve Hutchinson

Steven M. Hutchinson, 54, of East Concord, died Aug. 14, at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville.

Steve was born at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Feb. 28, 1960 to Ingeborg (nee Hollering) Hutchinson Sweeney and the late Woodrow Hutchinson.

He retired from the U.S. Army after serving 15 years, from 1980-1995, participating in Desert Storm. He enjoyed bowling.

Steven was a school bus driver for Springville-Griffith Institute.

He married the former Debbi Webber in Kitzengen, Germany, and was the father of Bon Hutchinson of East Concord and Philip Hutchinson of Buffalo; grandfather of Kaiden, Rileigh, Kaileigh, Isabella and Jackson; stepson of George Sweeney of Burke, Va.; brother of Peggy Hutchinson of San Antonio, Texas.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were made by the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 East Main St. in Springville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Donald Doutt

Donald H. Doutt, 84 of Sharp Street in East Concord passed away Aug. 12, at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville.

He was born on April 17, 1930 in Apollo, Pa, the son of the late Elmer and Florence (nee Clark) Doutt.

Donald drove school bus for the Springville-Griffith School District for many years.

Survivors include a daughter Linda Glende of Boston; a granddaughter Jennifer (Don) Hornberger of North Collins and a grandson Joshua Glende. 
Donald was predeceased by a sister Sally Coulter.

A grave side service in the Fairview Cemetery in Springville will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements by the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St. Gowanda.
