Anna Conklin
Anna R. Conklin, 48, of Springville, died Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo.

She was born Dec. 25, 1963, the daughter of Patricia (nee Stephenson) Troidl of North Collins and the late Karl Troidl, who preceded her in death on Sept. 13.

She spent time with her children as they grew up and was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was a graduate of North Collins High School and attended Erie Community College South. She was the former business office manager at Fiddlers Green Manor in Springville.

She is survived by her husband Steven Conklin; mother Patricia; son Tyler Conklin; daughter Nicole Conklin; siblings Karl Troidl of North Collins, Robert Troidl of Perrysburg and Patti Lipowicz of South Dayton and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held Oct. 15 from St. Aloysius Church in Springville. The Rev. Lawrence Cobel officiated. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Springville.

Dale Dinse
Dale Dinse, 61, of Sardinia, died Oct. 26 at his residence. He was born in Buffalo on Dec. 12, 1950 to Stella (nee Hunchar) and the late Harold Dinse.

He was a hunter, played cards, traveled and was a Yankees fan. He retired as custodian for the Springville-Griffith Institute Springville Elementary School.

He was the husband of Marjorie (nee Hiller); father of Sara Beth (Isaac) Humphrey of Dayton, Ohio and Jason Michael (Christine) Dinse of North Tonawanda; grandfather of Dylan Humphrey; brother of Jerry (Judy) and the late Carl Dinse; brother-in-law of Beverly, Paul and Maryann Boberg.

A private funeral service was held. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Buffalo or the Springville League for the Handicapped Preschool Learning Center.

Margaret Scott
Margaret Scott (nee Hintz), 90, of Springville, died Oct. 26 at Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home.

She was born in Mansfield on Nov. 7, 1921 to the late Otto and Dena (nee Westfall) Hintz.

She retired as a cafeteria monitor for Springville-Griffith Institute, taught Sunday school, had been a member of Salem Lutheran Church and volunteered for the Springville League for the Handicapped Preschool Learning Center.

She was the wife of the late Edward Scott; mother of Karen (Rodney) Rich of Springville and the late Curtis (Judy) Scott; grandmother of Timothy (Marla), Jeffrey, Jennifer Scott and John Rich; great-granddaughter of Katelyn Scott; sister of Mildred Hintz of Springville and the late Leon (Dorothy) Hintz; sister-in-law of Margaret Scott of Gowanda.

A funeral service was held Oct. 29 from the Salem Lutheran Church of Springville. The Rev. Fred Poeppel officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville.

Arrangements were made by the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 East Main St., Springville.

Elaine Silleman
Elaine Silleman, 84, (nee Hamman), of Springville, died Oct. 30. Wife of the late John Silleman; mother of John Silleman and Charlene (John) Windelberg; sister of Mildred Muehlbauer, Jeannette (Stuart) Ballard and the late Doris Parker, Wilton Hamman, Norbert Hamman, Kenneth Hamman, Albert Hamman and Florence Rogers Hedges.

A memorial Mass was held Saturday morning, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. from Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Langford. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Buffalo.

Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins.

John Steinmetz
John Steinmetz, 84, of Cocoa, Fla., formerly of Collins, died Oct. 27.

He was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Collins and was a former employee of General Dynamics Convair division and Bell Aircraft.

He was the husband of Audrey; father of John Steinmetz, Deborah Metzger and Timothy Steinmetz; grandfather of Audra Patterson, Kathy Royer, Karen Pilla, Jackie Laney, Samantha Steinmetz, Jennifer Trasport, Sarah Trasport; great-grandfather of Alex Royer, Emily Royer and Sophia Trasport-Prisco.

A memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Nov. 8 at 10:30 a.m.
