Jeffrey Burdic

Jeffrey M. “Jeff” Burdic, 28, of Las Vegas, Nev.. passed away Sept. 12 in Las Vegas Hospital.

He was born November 20, 1984, in Gowanda, to Charles J. and Cindy Downey Burdic. He was a 2003 graduate of Randolph Central School and attended Jamestown Community College. He was self-employed in internet marketing in Las Vegas and, in earlier years, had worked for SKF-MRC in Falconer and for Horshel’s Precision Machine in Springville.

Some of his hobbies included reading, traveling and spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Nina Cabrera, of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Cindy Downey Burdic of Randolph; a brother, Charles Burdic of Morehead, Ky.; two sisters, Stacey Stahley of West Valley and Kelly (David) Ling and their daughter Kendra, all of Randolph; grandmother, Leona Marrano of Salamanca; grandparents, Betty Blehar and Charles Burdick of Springville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive callers from 4-7p.m, Sept. 28 in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home,14 Church S., Randolph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the Randolph Fire Hall. The Rev. Ken Pratt, pastor of the Cherry Creek Assembly of God, will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Randolph Cemetery.

Eleanora Clark

Eleanora Clark, 91, a resident of Springville for 64 years, died Sept. 22, at her daughter’s home.

For 68 years, she was the wife of the late Richard Clark. She was the mother of Sharon (Robert) Bykowski of Cassadaga, N.Y.; Margaret (Henry) Smith of Trumbull Conn.; Bradley (Margaret) Clark of Springville; grandmother of Matthew Bykowski of Arlington Va.; Christopher (Diana) Smith of Trumbull, Conn.; Kristen Clark and Ian Clark of Springville; great-grandmother of Milania Smith, Scarlett Clark and Cooper Stinson; also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements and a private committal service were made by Hills Funeral Chapel of South Dayton. Donations in her name may be made to hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmont Ave., Lakewood, N.Y. 14750.
