Police Report, May 10

Friday, April 27

Boston – A Meals on Wheels for WNY volunteer discovered a client who had fallen in her home on Zimmerman Road. First Aid responded and provided a lift assist after checking her out.

Saturday, April 28

Boston – Police were notified Hamburg PD was pursuing a southbound white pick-up truck said to be traveling close to 100 MPH on Boston State Road. The pursuit was terminated near South Abbott Road.

Boston – A caller reported a white pick-up truck went off the road at the dead-end causing damage to a driveway and another homeowner’s grass. The driver of the vehicle, which appears to be the one Hamburg PD was attempting to pull over, was able to free it and leave the scene prior to police arrival.

Sunday, April 29

Boston – A caller reported a black SUV in a ditch on Zimmerman Road and the two occupants fled the scene. The vehicle had struck a mailbox. Patrol went to the registered owner’s address and spoke with a woman who answered the door. She had mud on her shoes, pants and hands and claimed friend was driving but refused to cooperate. A male then came to the door and stated they were all sovereign citizens and they did not have to answer to them. The male then told the deputies they should go beat their wives and kill them. Police subsequently impounded the vehicle.

Tuesday, May 1

Boston – Patrol assisted State Police with an accident on Boston State Road after an elderly driver went off the road and drove through a fence.

Delevan – Cody R. Bemish, 24, of Delevan was charged with AUO in the third degree following a traffic stop on North Buffalo Street due to the fact his driver’s license was suspended. He was ticketed and released.

Springville – A homeowner on Elk Street reported his steel dinosaur valued at $1,000 was taken from the backyard.

Wednesday, May 2

Orchard Park – Joshua S. Lear, 25, of Boston was charged with UPM while on Gartman Road at approximately 2:13 p.m. He was issued an appearance ticket.

Springville – A caller witnessed a female hit the stop signs near the crosswalk in the Walmart parking lot. The female then parked her car and went inside. There did not appear to be any damage to the pole but her car did incur minor damage.

Springville – An apparent fight over money between two males led to the arrest of Matthew M. Tartick, 45,of Springville, who was charged with assault in the third degree, menacing in the third degree and criminal obstruction of breathing. Tartick was taken to the Holding Center in lieu of $500 bail.

Thursday, May 3

Boston – A vehicle stopped for traveling 90 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on Boston State Road, resulted in the arrest of the driver, Jamie L. Essien, 33, of Bradford, Pa., after it was discovered she had four suspensions in New York. She was charged with AUO in the second degree as well as speeding. Essien was ticketed and released.

Friday, May 4

Boston – At approximately 3:15 p.m., Ashley E. Gorham, 30, of Buffalo was charged with UPM, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving without a license, failure to notify the DMV with a change of address, AUO in the second degree, speeding while in zone and driving without an interlock device. Gorham was issued an appearance ticket.

Sunday, May 6

Sardinia – Benjamin A. Kelly, 32, of Depew, was charged with DWI: first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 percent: first offense while on Route 16 just before 2 a.m. Kelly was issued an appearance ticket.
