Local woman receives DWI
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reported the arrest of a local subject for driving while intoxicated by sheriff’s road patrols on Saturday night, Jan. 14.
While on patrol in Springville at 7:27 p.m., Deputy Don Hoelscher arrested Nicole V. Fisher, 23, of East Otto and charged her with driving while intoxicated by drugs (narcotic pills), traffic infractions and narcotics possession after stopping her vehicle on East Main Street for erratic operation.
The Sheriff’s Office Drug Recognition Expert Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz was called to the Springville Substation to assist processing the arrest. Blood samples were submitted to Erie County Medical Center to determine Fisher’s exact level of intoxication. She was processed at the Springville Substation and released on appearance tickets.
West Valley woman charged with stalking
Melanie M. Michael, 52, of West Valley turned herself in to deputies at the town of Machias Court on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. after a warrant of arrest was issued.
She is charged with stalking in the fourth degree.
The defendant was arraigned in the town of Machias Court by Judge Francis Lounsbury and subsequently released on her own recognizance to appear at a later date.
