Police blotter from the Journal week of March 8

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to several calls from Feb. 15-28. Following is a sampling of the incidents in Boston, Colden, Concord, Sardinia and Springville:

Boston

– Feb. 18, Patrol arrested Joseph Fentzke, 17, of Hamburg, for unlawful possession of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol. He was released on appearance tickets, to appear in Boston Court at a later date. The arrest took place on Patchin Road.

– Patrol investigated 14 property damage automobile accidents in the town of Boston, from Feb. 15-28.

Colden

– Patrol investigated five property damage automobile accidents, from Feb. 15-28.

Concord

– Feb. 19, Patrol arrested Jeremy Rung, 31, of Springville, for unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on appearance tickets to appear in Concord Court at a later date. The arrest took place on Route 219.

– Feb. 28, Patrol arrested Darrin Whitcomb, 25, of Franklinville, for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, following a traffic stop on Route 219. Whitcomb was released on appearance tickets to appear in Concord Court at a later date.

– Feb. 22, Patrol arrested Vincent Roberts, 30, of Colden, on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.

– Feb. 23, Patrol arrested Stephen Myers, 23, of Concord, on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the

ECHC following arraignment. The arrest took place on Hardwood Court.

– Patrol investigated 14 property damage automobile accidents in the town of Concord, from Feb. 15-28.

Sardinia

– Feb. 18, Patrol arrested Daniel Ellis, 36, of Aurora, for criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on appearance tickets to appear in Sardinia Court at a later date. The arrest took place on Olean Road.

– Patrol investigated six property damage automobile accidents in the town of Sardinia, from Feb.15-28.

Springville

– Feb. 15, Patrol arrested Grant Newman, 31, of Springville, on an outstanding warrant from Cattaraugus County. Newman was turned over to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

– Feb. 20, Patrol arrested Dale Redeye, 34, of Salamanca, on an outstanding warrant from the New York State Police. He was turned over to the New York State Police. The arrest took place on South Cascade Drive.

– Feb. 28, Patrol arrested Benjamin Lingenfelter, 24, of Orchard Park, on an outstanding warrant. He was taken to the ECHC, pending arraignment. The arrest took place on West Main Street.

– Feb. 28, Patrol arrested Kristen Kulczyk, 24, of Cattaraugus, on an outstanding warrant from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s office. She was turned over the to Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s office. The arrest took place on West Main Street.

Patrol investigated three property damage automobile accidents in the village of Springville, from Feb. 15-28.

Springville Police Department

– Jan. 18, Patrol investigated a car-deer accident at Waverly and Ohio streets.

– Jan. 21, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident at Springville Elementary School on North Street.

– Jan. 21, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a suspicious incident on Pinewood Drive.

– Jan. 22, Patrol assisted with traffic while the Department of Public Works removed snow on Main Street.

– Jan. 22, Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious incident on Eaton

Street.

– Jan. 24, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a car in the median on Route 219 at the Route 39 overpass.

– Jan. 27, Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious male on East Main Street.

– Jan. 28, The department’s Commercial Truck Enforcement Unit and the New York State Department of Transportation performed truck inspections on North Cascade Drive.

– Jan. 28, Patrol investigated a personal injury automobile accident at East Main and Newman streets.

– Jan. 29, Patrol investigated a suspicious person at North Central Avenue and North Street.

– Jan. 30, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a suspicious person at the Springville-Griffith Institute Middle School on Newman Street.

– Jan. 31, Patrol performed community policing at S-GI High School.

– Jan. 31, Patrol investigated a report of reckless operation of a motor vehicle on

Forest Avenue.

– Jan. 31, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with investigation of a possible break-in of a residence on Transit Line Road.

– Jan. 31, Patrol investigated a snowmobile complaint on North Central Avenue.

– Feb. 1, Patrol assisted Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies with a possible erratic operator headed north on Route 219.

– Feb. 1, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with an unwanted guest on East Main Street.

– Feb. 1, Patrol enforced the winter parking ban.

– Feb. 2, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a suspicious intoxicated person on Franklin Street.

– Feb. 2, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a property damage automobile accident and driving while intoxicated arrest at North and Sharp streets.

– Feb. 4, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a criminal trespass on South Cascade Drive.
