Man charged for harassment in Collins

COLLINS — The father of a 27-year-old female contacted the Collins State Police Barracks on Jan. 4, after receiving several phone calls from her, stating she had been beaten up and left out in the cold.

Once on location, a trooper located the suspect, Christopher Lone, 31, walking near the residence with blood on his hands. The victim was also located on the street, a short time later, and had received minor injuries to her face, stemming from a shattered window.

Investigation determined that the couple got into an argument inside their home, which led to the victim being hit and ultimately having to flee to her car. The victim locked herself in her vehicle and began calling her father for assistance. Lone then approached the driver-side door and attempted to gain entry. He punched the window, which shattered, causing flying glass to strike the victim’s face. She was evaluated for minor injuries by on-scene emergency personnel.

Lone was transported to the Collins Barracks and charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and two counts of second degree harassment. He is due in Perrysburg Town Court, at a later date. The investigation was assisted by members of the Gowanda Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Volunteer Fire Company.
