Man strikes a well
At 3:20 p.m. Erie County Sheriffs deputies responded to a call of a property damage accident on Hillcrest Avenue in the town of Boston on Sept. 24.

Upon arrival, the deputies found that a vehicle had left the roadway, gone across a lawn of a house and struck a well cover.

The driver was found passed out behind the wheel of the vehicle. After he was revived, Keith Mandeville, 36, of Hamburg, refused to complete field sobriety tests, at the scene and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.

A check of his driver’s license revealed that his license had been suspended, pending prosecution for a separate DWI arrest.

As a result of this suspension, Mandeville was also charged with Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle. Mandeville refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. Mandeville was subsequently taken to the Erie County Holding Center, where he was held, pending his arraignment.
