Police report from the week of Sept. 21

The Erie County Sheriff’s office responded to several calls from Aug. 31-Sept. 6. Following is a sampling of the incidents in Boston, Collins, Concord, Sardinia and Springville:

Boston
– Aug. 31, Patrol responded to a property damage automobile accident on Route 219.
– Sept. 1, Patrol arrested Jason Roncone, 32, of Buffalo, for driving while intoxicated and other related charges on Route 219. Roncone submitted to a breath test, with the result being .24 percent blood alcohol content. He was committed to Erie County Holding center on $250 bail.
– Sept. 3, Patrol arrested Corey Bailey, 28, of Lockport on an outstanding warrant. He was turned over to the Lockport Police. The arrest took place on Route 219.
– Sept. 4, Patrol arrested Tracey Sobocinski, 30, of Elma, for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Sobocinski was released to appear in Boston Court at a later date. The arrest took place on Feddick Road.
– Sept. 4, Patrol investigated a report of a 20-year-old man working on a car in a garage on Boston-Cross Road. While cutting up a scrap vehicle, a fuel line was cut and sparks from his saw caused a fire.
– Sept. 6, Patrol stopped a vehicle on Route 219 for a traffic offense. They found that the driver’s license of James Dixon of Buffalo had been suspended 19 times for various reason. Dixon was arrested for felony aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree and was transported to the Erie County Holding Center, pending arraignment in the Town of Boston Court.

Collins
– Sept. 7, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies Ryan Rogers and Neil held investigated a two-car motor vehicle accident on West Becker Road in Collins. Occupants of the car were transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital with minor injuries. The accident was caused by one of the vehicles failure to keep right and maintain a lane of traffic.

Concord
– Sept. 3, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Vaughn Street.
– Sept. 1, Patrol arrested Christopher Kline, 16, of South Wales, for criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop on Foote Road. Kline was released on appearance tickets to appear in Concord Court, at a later date.
– Sept. 5, Patrol arrested Earl Stegner, 27, of Grand Island for criminal possession of a controlled substance, following a traffic stop on Genesee Road. Stegner was released on appearance tickets to appear in Concord Court, at a later date.

Sardinia
– Aug. 31, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Creek Road.
– Aug. 31, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Olean Road.

Springville
– Sept. 4, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on North Cascade Drive.
– Sept. 6, Patrol arrested Jason Cole, 43, of West Valley, for petit larceny, after he was caught shoplifting at a business on South Cascade Drive. Cole was released on appearance tickets to appear in court, at a later date.
– Sept. 6, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on South Cascade Drive.

Springville Police Department
– Sept, 2, Patrol assisted with a custody exchange on Franklin Street.
– Sept.2, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident in Tops Market parking lot on South Cascade Drive.
– Sept. 4, Patrol investigated a parking complaint at Tops Market.
– Sept. 6, Patrol investigated report of suspicious phone calls on Prospect Avenue.
– Sept. 6, Patrol investigated report of larceny of license plates on North Buffalo Street.
– Sept. 6, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a custody dispute at Springville Elementary School.
– Sept. 6, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a custody dispute on Franklin Street.
– Sept. 6, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a disturbance on Transit Line Road.
– Sept. 8, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with an investigation on Creek Road involving a care in a hit and run accident on West Main Street in Springville.
– Sept. 13, While performing routine traffic enforcement, the patrol observed a vehicle going through a red light at South Cascade Drive and Waverly Street. The vehicle was stopped in Wal-Mart parking lot and a check of the vehicle and driver by the Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the driver had two driving suspensions by the town of Yorkshire. Renee Horn, of Delevan, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and released on traffic tickets.
– Sept. 13, Patrol was requested to check the welfare of a resident on south Central Avenue.
– Sept. 14, Patrol investigated a complaint of a dog in a vehicle at Wal-Mart parking lot. The dog was not in distress, responding officers reported.
