Machias man caught in burglaries

MACHIAS — New York state troopers responded to a larceny complaint in the town of Machias on the morning of Sept.10. During the course of the investigation, Trooper Paul Landwehr discovered two burglaries had taken place overnight.
While conducting interviews, Landwehr discovered stolen property in a vehicle on Franklin Street in the town of Machias. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jarrett Richardson of Machias. Richardson was charged with two counts of burglary third degree, two counts of petit larceny and one count of criminal mischief fourth degree. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu $10,000 bail.
