Chaffee man arrested for driving while intoxicated

Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard reported that a Chaffee man was arrested for driving while intoxicated, by sheriff’s deputies on Aug. 10.
Deputy Donald Hoelscher responded to a report of an injury accident on Allen Road in the town of Sardinia, in which a car struck a tree.
When Hoelscher arrived on scene, he found the driver of the vehicle to be intoxicated.
Archie Pixley, 28, was arrested for DWI and transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, for treatment of minor injuries. He also consented to a blood draw, to determine his blood alcohol content.
Pixley was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Sardinia Court, at a later date.
