Police Blotter

Erie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to several calls from Dec. 14-20 in Boston, Colden, Concord, Sardinia and Springville. A sampling of the calls follows:

Boston

Patrol investigated nine property damage automobile accidents in the town of Boston between Dec. 14-20.

Colden

– Dec. 15, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on State Road.

Concord

Patrol investigated 12 property damage automobile accidents in the town of Concord from Dec. 14-20.

Sardinia

Patrol investigated seven property damage automobile accidents in the town of Sardinia between Dec. 14-29.

Springville

Patrol responded to five property damage automobile accidents in the village of Springville from Dec. 14-20.

– Dec. 15, Patrol arrested Trent Stinson, 19, of Springville for unlawful possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop on West Main Street. Stinson was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Springville Court at a later date.

Springville Police Department

Reminder: the winter parking ban is in effect until April 1. All cars will be ticketed and, if the Department of Public Works is beginning to plow, vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

– Nov. 30, Patrol investigated a report of a shoplifter being detained at Wal-Mart.

– Nov. 30. Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a disturbance and domestic situation on Eaton Street.

– Nov. 30, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with investigation of a suspicious vehicle on East Main Street.

– Dec. 1, Patrol investigated a disturbance on West Main Street.

– Dec. 3, Patrol investigated a report of two subjects attempting to steal items from Village Antiques.

– Dec. 4, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a harassment complaint.

– Dec. 4, Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious person at Tops Market on South Cascade Drive.

– Dec. 6, Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle which may have been operated by an intoxicated driver.

– Dec. 8, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with the arrest of an aggravated unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle.

– Dec. 9, Patrol assisted in the investigation of a report of youths throwing snowballs at cars in the area of the Springville Country Club.

– Dec. 12, The department’s commercial truck enforcement unit and the New York State Department of Transportation performed truck safety inspections on North Cascade Drive.

– Dec. 13, Patrol assisted the DPW in removing cars from the municipal parking lot so snow could be removed.

– Dec. 13, Patrol advised snowmobilers who were on the sidewalk of Smith Street, that it was a violation of village code to operate a snowmobile in the village outside of designated snowmobile trails.

– Dec. 15, Patrol investigated a report of a subject who drove off without paying for gas at a station on South Cascade Drive.

– Dec. 16, Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on West Main Street.

– Dec. 17, Patrol assisted the DPW with snow removal.

– Dec. 17, Patrol assisted with a property exchange on Waverly Street.

– Dec. 17, Patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a violent disturbance on Franklin Street.

– Dec. 19, The department’s commercial truck enforcement unit and the DOT performed truck safety inspections on North Cascade Drive.

– Dec. 19, Patrol stopped a vehicle for equipment violations on North Cascade Drive. A check revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The patrol arrested Jonathan Martinez for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
