Erie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to several calls in Boston, Colden, Concord, Sardinia and Springville from July 26 to Aug. 1. Following is a sampling of the incidents:

Colden

– Patrol investigated two property damage automobile accidents in the town of Colden between July 26 and Aug. 1.

Concord

– Patrol investigated three property damage automobile accidents in the town of Concord between July 26 and Aug. 1.

– July 27, patrol arrested Cody Lux, 22, of Concord, for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Springville-Boston Road. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Concord Court at a later date.

Sardinia

– Patrol investigated one property damage automobile accident in the town of Sardinia between July 26 and Aug. 1.

Springville

– Patrol investigated two property damage automobile accidents in the village of Springville between July 26 and Aug. 1.

– July 28, patrol arrested Daniel Knowles, 34, of Collins, for criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Springville Court at a later date. The arrest took place on West Main Street.

– July 29, patrol arrested Jessie Dickson, 22, of Springville, on an outstanding warrant. He was committed to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment. The arrest took place on Franklin Street.

Springville Police Department

– July 20, patrol investigated a report of an unwanted guest at Fiddler’s Green Nursing Home.

– July 20, patrol assisted with an animal complaint at Wal-Mart.

– July 21, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with two arrests for petit larceny at Wal-Mart.

– July 23, patrol investigated a report of an unwanted guest on West Main Street.

– July 23, patrol assisted with a property damage automobile accident at Rite Aid.

– July 24, patrol investigated an animal complaint at Wal-Mart.

– July 24, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a mental health call on Glen Street.

– July 24, patrol investigated a report of an intoxicated female outside Crosby Mart.

– July 25, patrol investigated a report of a disorderly male on West Main Street.

– July 25, patrol located several youths in Springville Youth Inc. Park after closing time.

– July 26, patrol investigated an animal complaint at Wal-Mart.

– July 26, patrol checked the area of East Main Street for a suspicious male.

– July 26, patrol assisted with a mental health law call on Childs Street.

–July 28, the department’s Commercial Truck Enforcement Unit and the New York State Department of Transportation performed truck inspections on North Cascade Drive.

– Aug. 1, patrol and the Erie County Sheriff’s deputies removed youths from the SYI Park on South Buffalo Street after it was closed.

– Aug. 1, patrol investigated an open burning complaint on Forest Avenue.

– Aug. 2, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a larceny at St. Aloysius Church.

– Aug. 2, patrol dispersed youths from Fiddler’s Green Park after it was closed for the night.

– Aug. 2, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with the arrest of Gunner Dole of North Collins for petit larceny at Wal-Mart.

– Aug. 3, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a larceny from a car on Chestnut Street.

– Aug. 4, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a roll-over accident on Route 39, west of the village.

– Aug. 7, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with a disturbance on Woodward Avenue.

– Aug. 9, patrol assisted with traffic for the 5K run.

– Aug. 9, patrol assisted with a disturbance on Newman Street.

– Aug. 9, patrol investigated a complaint of an intoxicated male riding a bicycle on Main Street.

– Aug. 9, patrol investigated a disturbance on Newman Street.

– Aug. 9, patrol investigated a complaint of several people walking into the cemetery on West Main Street.

– Aug. 9, patrol assisted Erie County Sheriff’s deputies with several arrests at the cemetery.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit investigated a one vehicle crash which occurred at 1:44 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the town of Sardinia.

Jared Kraft, 22, was driving on Creek Road when he states that he lost consciousness for an unknown reason. His vehicle then left the roadway and struck a tree. Kraft was transported to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight where he was listed in stable condition with a broken leg and possible internal injuries.

a one car property damage automobile accident on Mayer Road in the town of Boston resulted in the arrest of a Hamburg man.

Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies Ken Achtyl and Matt Krypel responded to Mayer Road near Feddick Road in the town of Boston for a report of one vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, Aug. 13, around 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that a vehicle driven by James M. Weiss, 33, of Feddick Road in Hamburg had left the roadway and struck a tree and mailboxes. There were no injuries.

Further interview and field sobriety tests found Weiss to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI and other traffic violations.

Weiss submitted to a chemical breath test which resulted in a .13 percemt blood alcohol content. His vehicle was towed from the scene and he was later released to a third party on appearance tickets to the town of Boston Court at a later date.

Lawrence M. Pope, 46, of Machias, was arrested on Aug. 3 by New York State troopers based in Machias, following a reported domestic dispute between he and his girlfriend. Subsequent to an investigation, Pope was advised he was going to be arrested for criminal obstruction of breathing and harassement.

He stated that he was not going to be arrested and resisted being taken into custody. Pope was subsequently charged with resisting arrest and arrigned in the town of Machias Court.

He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 property bond.

– Aug. 4, 1:23 a.m., Springville firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on South Cascade Drive.

– Aug. 4, 11:56 a.m., Mortons Corners and Springville firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Route 39 and Trevett Road. Rural Metro Ambulance and Springville firefighters each transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital.

– Aug. 4, 4:33 p.m., East Concord firefighters responded to a first aid call on Adams Road. Transported to BCH, then Mercy Flight WNY transported to Buffalo General Hospital.

Aug. 4, 4:54 p.m,. Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a first aid call on West Schutt Road. Erie County Sheriff’s deputies transported to Lake Shore Hospital.

– Aug. 5, 3:27 p.m., Mortons Corners firefighters responded to a report of a fire on Route 39.

– Aug. 6, 2:08 p.m., Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Route 16 and Genesee Road.

– Aug. 7, 8:16 a.m., Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a first aid call on Creek Road.

– Aug. 7, 11:13 a.m., Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a first aid call on Miller Avenue.

– Aug. 7, 3:44 p.m., East Concord firefighters responded to a first aid call on Manchester Road. Rural Metro Ambulance transported to BCH.

– Aug. 8, 4:08 a.m., Springville firefighters responded to a first aid call on North Buffalo Street. Rural Metro Ambulance transported to Mercy Hospital in Buffalo.

– Aug. 8, 12:02 p.m., Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a first aid call on Route 39. Rural Metro Ambulance transported to BCH.

– Aug. 8, 3:14 p.m., Chaffee-Sardinia firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Olean Road.

– Aug. 8, 8:04 p.m., Springville firefighters responded to a Mercy Flight WNY assist at BCH.

Aug. 9, 9:10 a.m., Springville firefighters responded to a first aid call on West Main Street. Transported to BCH.

– Aug. 9, 5:01 p.m., Springville firefighters responded to a first aid call on South Cascade Drive.

– Aug. 10, 12:05 a.m., Springville firefighters responded to a grass fire at Route 39 and Zoar Valley Road.

– Aug. 10, 4:14 a.m., Springville firefighters responded to a Mercy Flight WNY assist at BCH.

– Aug. 10, 4:35 a.m., East Concord firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 219, north of Genesee Road.

Aug. 10, 1:46 p.m., Chaffee-Sardinia and Springville firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 39. Mercy Flight WNY transported to Erie County Medical Center.
