LACKAWANNA — Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard reported that, while deputies were on patrol on Aug. 12, at 3:45 p.m., they observed a pickup truck driving erratically on Route 5 in Lackawanna.
After conducting a traffic stop, the deputies determined that the driver was intoxicated. After failing field sobriety tests, Gary Nati, 61, of Concord was arrested for driving while intoxicated. A subsequent license check revealed that Nati’s driver’s license had been revoked, for a prior DWI conviction.
The subject was taken to patrol headquarters in Chestnut Ridge Park, where he submitted to a breath test. t Nati’s blood alcohol content was found to be .13 percent.
Due to the prior DWI conviction, Nati was charged with felony DWI and felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was also charged with several vehicle and traffic law violations.
Nati is scheduled to answer the charges in Lackawanna City Court. The arresting officers were Deputies Okal, Colulombe and Soluri.
