MACHIAS— On Feb. 2, New York state troopers based in Machias responded to a report of a domestic incident in a motor vehicle on Route 16 in Machias.
The vehicle’s driver said that Kathleen Johnson, 49, of Freedom, N.Y., had shifted the vehicle into neutral and tried to remove the keys from the ignition, while the vehicle was in motion.
These actions were the result of a dispute over the use of the vehicle. Johnson was arrested for reckless endangerment second degree. She was to face the charge in the town of Machias Court, at a later date.
