Erie County Sheriff’s Department
The Erie County sheriff’s office responded to several calls from Feb. 15 – March 2 in Boston, Concord, Sardinia and Springville:

Boston
– Feb. 16, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Route 219.
– Feb. 20, Patrol investigated a personal injury automobile accident on Lower East Hill Road.

Concord
– Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Wagner Road.
– Patrol arrested Howard Foster, 51, of Springville, for menacing, after the subject threatened another person with a knife. Howard was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held, without bail. The arrest took place on Sharp Street.
– Feb. 17, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on South Vaughn Street.
– Feb. 17, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Springville-Boston Road.
– Feb. 19, Patrol arrested Nikolas Owens, 19, of Orchard Park, for unlawful possession of marijuana. The subject was released on an appearance ticket. The arrest took place on Glenwood Road.
– Feb. 19, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Route 219.
– Feb. 20, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on Springville-Collins Road.
– Feb. 21, Patrol investigated a personal injury automobile accident on Route 219. The driver, Justin Ostune, 20, of Syracuse, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle third. He was released to appear in Concord Court at a later date.

Sardinia

– Feb. 18, Patrol arrested Steven Dayton, 49, of Sardinia, for assault in the third degree, following an altercation. Dayton was released on an appearance ticket. The arrest occurred on Route 39.

Springville
– Feb. 19, Patrol investigated a property damage automobile accident on West Main Street.
– Feb. 19, Patrol arrested Ryan Drumsta, 21, of East Concord, for driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and reckless endangerment of property. Drumsta was committed to the Erie County Holding Center. The arrest took place on West Main Street.
– Feb. 22, Patrol arrested Katy Lang, 25, of Springville, for petit larceny, after the subject was caught shoplifting at the Springville Wal-Mart. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Springville Police Department
– Feb. 9, Patrol assisted New York State Police with a traffic stop and subsequent drug arrest on West Main Street.
– Feb. 9, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a traffic stop and subsequent drug arrest on West Main Street.
– Feb. 9, Patrol stopped a snowmobile that was operating on the West Main Street sidewalk and informed the driver of local snowmobile laws.
– Feb. 9, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a traffic stop and subsequent drug arrest on Route 39 and Belscher Road.
– Feb. 10, Patrol investigated an automobile accident involving an all-terrain vehicle on West Main Street.
– Feb. 10, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies, Arcade police and Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies with a domestic incident on Route 39 in Sardinia.
– Feb. 11, Patrol assisted in capturing a loose horse on West Main Street.
– Feb. 13, Patrol investigated a hit and run automobile accident in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
– Feb. 14, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with a traffic stop and subsequent drug arrest on North Buffalo Street.
– Feb. 14, Patrol investigated a 911 hang-up call from the Springville Microtel.
– Feb. 15, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies at a disturbance on West Main Street.
– Feb. 16, Patrol investigated a disturbance on North Central Avenue.
– Feb. 16, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with handling an erratic operator on Route 219.
– Feb. 16, Patrol assisted Erie County sheriff’s deputies with locating a vehicle headed south in the Route 219 northbound lane.
– Feb. 20, Patrol assisted a motorist who was involved in a motor vehicle accident.
– Feb. 21, Patrol checked the welfare of a person on Colonial Drive.
– Feb. 22, Patrol assisted the department of public works with snow removal.
