Martin Krebs of Springville named CIO of Fidelis Care

Fidelis Care, a New York state Catholic health insurance plan, has announced that Martin Krebs has been named chief information officer. In this role, Krebs will have statewide responsibility for the information and communications systems that support New York state’s largest government programs-based health insurance plan. He is based in Fidelis Care’s Getzville office.

Before joining Fidelis Care, Krebs served as CIO of PCB Piezotronics, a global manufacturing company with offices across the United States, Europe and Asia, operating out of the company’s headquarters in Depew. Krebs has also held a variety of information technology positions with HealthNow, Aether Systems, RWD Technologies and CMG Health Incorporated.

Krebs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Born in Buffalo, he now lives in Springville with his wife Nancy and sons Matt and Sam. The Krebs family spent 10 years in Baltimore, Md. before deciding to reside in Western New York.

With nearly 730,000 members in 59 of New York’s 62 counties, Fidelis Care is the largest government programs-based health insurance company in the state.
