SPRINGVILLE — Chelsey Schweikert, a 2006 Springville-Griffith Institute graduate, was nominated to attend the 2013 International Electrotechnical Commission General Meetings in New Delhi, India, Oct. 21-25. Schweikert was nominated, along with two others from the United States, to represent the U.S. National Committee at the international technical meetings, as part of the Young Professionals Programme.
This program brings together the world’s upcoming expert engineers, technicians and managers. It provides young professionals with more opportunities to shape the future of international standardization in the field of electrotechnology. Bringing together 1,000 or more key players from all over the world, the meeting aimes to opportunities for information exchange and networking and cultivates a long-term environment for the involvement of young people from all over the world to participate in the international arena.
Schweikert works for Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar Company, located in San Diego, Calif., as a product compliance design engineer.
Her parents, Charles and Darlene Schweikert, live in Springville.
