CONCORD — The Hulbert Library of the town of Concord has named a new library head, after former director Annette Gernatt retired. Gernatt had been the library’s director for 30 years.
Bridgette Heintz, who lives in Cheektowaga, has been working in the field for more than a decade. In 2012, the librarian graduated from the University ay Buffalo with a master’s degree in library science and a concentration in children’s reference and programming.
She has been a part of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library system since 1999. She had previously work as a page at the now-closed Brighton branch, as a clerk at the Aurora branch for three years and as a library associate and branch manager at the Lake Shore branch for seven years.
More information about Heintz and her plans for the local library will be featured in an upcoming issue of the Journal.
