SPRINGVILLE — On Sept. 28, the Springville boys junior varsity soccer team took on the Amherst Tigers, on the road. Amherst scored 2 goals in the first half, to take a 2-0 halftime lead.
The Griffins came alive, to start the second half, and scored on a penalty kick by David Reese, 2 minutes into the half, to cut the deficit in half. Springville had several more opportunities to get the tying goal, but was unable to put one in the net.
