Springville Little League road rally

SPRINGVILLE — Springville Little League Football will host a fundraiser on Saturday, May 11 at the East Concord Fire Hall. The event will involve two activities: a road rally scavenger hunt, from 5:45 – 8 p.m. and a beer blast party, from 8 – midnight.

The road rally will be similar to the television show, “The Amazing Race.” Teams of two – four people will follow clues, complete challenges and find scavenger hunt items, while driving to each destination on the list, within a given time period. The top three teams to finish the race, within the allotted time, and earn the most points, will be declared the winners.

The road rally will take place throughout the Springville-Griffith Institute School District, beginning and ending at the East Concord Fire Hall. Participants can purchase tickets from one of the board members, Little League coaches, from Harry’s Barber Shop or from Merenick State Farm in Springville, before May 11.

Ticket costs include the after-party beer blast. Organizers recommended that participants purchase presale tickets, but tickets and registration will also be available, from 5:30 – 5:45 p.m., before the race starts.

A beer blast, open to the public, will take place, after the scavenger hunt, at the East Concord Fire Hall. All attendees must be at least 21 years old. The ticket price includes beer, wine, pop and snacks. A theme basket raffle and 50/50 raffle will also take place. Local disc jockeys “The Hitmen” will provide the music, for the evening.

For more information or to purchase presale tickets, visit the Little League on Facebook at or call Mark Strub, at 560-8999, or Kelly Baker, at 560-7526.
