The S-GI girls team finished sixth out of 17 teams, and second for smaller schools. The boys placed 12th out of 18 teams, which included the larger schools, and third for the smaller schools.

On Sept. 14, the team traveled to the West Seneca West Invitational at Sunshine Park. Mitchel Bunic finished 13th overall for a ribbon, while Don Piatek and team captain Elliott Tessmer had strong runs, in the field of more than 100 runners, according to Russell. The boys varsity team placed eighth out of 20 teams, that day. Wojtkowiak and Russell won ribbons for their 13th and 16th place finishes overall, in the field of more than 100 runners. Brautlacht and McKenzie Maloy were close behind, to make a tight pack of four, for S-GI.

Megan Loop helped the team take fifth out of 20 teams and helped rank the Springville girls team ninth, out of all small schools in Western New York. The team will host Amherst at Sprague Brook Park on Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.
