LaCosse – VanHorn – Lori Van Horn, daughter of Sue (nee Faircloth) Richardson of Raleigh, N.C. and Larry Benz of Springville, married Steven LaCosse, son of Mr. and Mrs. William LaCosse of Springville, on July 17.

The Concord Town Board held a special town board meeting at the conclusion of two public hearings at its last meeting. At the end of the meeting, Town Supervisor Mark Steffan distributed copies of his proposed 2004 town budget. If it is adopted, town residents will see a decrease in town taxes of 20 percent or more.

Mary Ellen Krezmien Armbrust and Ron Baker were inducted into the Pop Warner Hall of Fame. Denise Bickel was named homecoming queen.

Girls were born to:

Amy (nee Ried) and Robert Schosek Jr., Oct. 1, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, Elyana Catherine. Grandparents are Terry and Cathy Ried of East Concord and Donna Lambert and Robert Schosek Sr. of Hamburg. Jennifer McCool and Tony Termer, Alexis Marie, Sept. 18, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Grandparents are Karen McCool and Dale McCool of Springville and Jim and Shirley Morrissey of Machias.

Mary Frances Camp of Buffalo and Lee Jay Snyder of Springville, were married at Christ the King Chapel at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. on July 12. Friar Steve Andreson and the Rev. Stanley Handzlik officiated the ceremony The bride is the daughter of Terrence Camp of Albany and the late Thelma Camp. The groom is the son of John Sr. and Jean Snyder of Springville.
