Free baseball softball event sponsored by Major League Baseball RBI program

BUFFALO – The Willie Hutch Jones Education and Sports Program is teaming up with the Buffalo Bisons and Major League Baseball RBI program to host a fun-filled Play Ball Weekend on Saturday, June 10 at McCarthy Park in Buffalo.

The event is open to area youth aged 5-12, who are invited to register for a day of baseball/softball skills training in throwing, hitting, fielding, catching and more. The event will include an exciting parent/child versus the Buffalo Police and Fire Departments softball game, during a free lunch program for all participants. This free event is held in collaboration with Project Play Western New York, WGRZ TV2, the PAL of Buffalo, the Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo Police and Fire Departments.

“We are grateful to again partner with the Buffalo Bisons and Major League Baseball RBI program to host Play Ball Weekend for the youth of Western New York. This event provides a unique opportunity for young athletes to learn and develop their baseball/softball skills while having fun with their peers. Our program is dedicated to providing positive experiences for our community’s youth, and we are excited to see them engage in a friendly game against the Buffalo police and fire departments. We hope to continue fostering a love of sports and physical activity in our youth for many years to come,” Dr. Willie Hutch Jones said, founder and CEO of the Willie Hutch Jones Education and Sports Program.
